Your Confidence Matters

Confidence matters and is often one of those things that so many women would love more of.

Do you want to feel confident in who you are and what you are about?

You want to look good and feel good doing it, but often you can hold yourself back because your confidence is lacking.

Confidence is actually not something people have, they learn to feel confident in their own skin and about their own abilities to do things.

However, you may want to figure out exactly what it could take to help boost your confidence, and often that means tackling the opinions you have generated about yourself.

It is these things that will hold you back, whether you are aware of it, or not.

So here are some tips you can do to help you boost your confidence levels.

Your Confidence Matters for Your Body

Often confidence revolves around the opinion you have of yourself and how you look, and this can be quite debilitating if you let it.

You may think that you don’t have the right figure, maybe you have an issue with your stomach area like most women do.

We have to be mindful that our body is the temple of God. We need to be intentional about taking care of our bodies so we can function at the optimal level.

Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?

~1 Corinthians 3:16~

You may have to look into making some lifestyle changes that will make a big difference to how you feel.

You need to change what you see about yourself and by doing so, you will start to feel more confident in yourself.

Your Mindset and Positivity

You also need to take the time to think about how you feel mentally as your mindset and thoughts play a valuable part in your confidence levels.

If you feel negative about a situation, if you feel like you can’t carry on, then this will ultimately reflect in your ability to do things.

Sometimes changing your thoughts can change your reality, and it can feel difficult to do it at first.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. ~Romans 12:2~

You need to break old habits of negativity and work on building up new thought processes with a positive outlook on life.

  • Remind yourself of all the things that are good in your life.
  • Challenge yourself when you have negative thoughts.
  • Read a bible verse daily that reminds you of who you are in Christ.

Once you develop these new habits you will notice a natural shift in your mindset for the better, which will help boost your confidence levels.

Accept Who You Are

One of the biggest things that can affect your confidence is the lack of acceptance of yourself.

We are all unique, with our different traits, skills, and talents. We are all different.

I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.

~Psalm 139:14~

The best advice is to accept who you are, your personality, your great aspects, and also your flaws.

That is what makes you the person you are.

These things should definitely be embraced instead of hidden away or criticized.

We can be our own worst critic.

If we take the time to examine ourselves and see what God sees it will make a major impact in our confidence.

What are your strengths?

When you take the time to examine yourself, you will learn and appreciate your strengths.

This is a great opportunity to focus on those strengths and grow.

As you grow your confidence will begin to grow.

I can do all things through him who strengthens me. ~Philippians 4:13

We all have strengths, but sometimes we can be so focused on what we can’t do that our strengths just slip into the sidelines.

Moving forward, don’t even think about your weaknesses.

This is a prime example of taking your thoughts captive.

Be Grateful

One thing that I have mentioned many times is that our mindset can boost our health. Especially the mindset of gratitude.

Being grateful or content with our lives and the people in our lives is so important.

Feeling grateful helps you to feel good, and by feeling good, you naturally just feel more confident and sure of yourself.

Try it and see for yourself.

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. ~1 Thessalonians 5:18~

Take Small Steps

Finally, be mindful that sometimes you just need to take small steps that can make big changes.

Things like dressing for the occasion or simply wearing what you want. Gaining knowledge and being more aware ahead of time.

The small things can make a big difference to your confidence levels in any given situation.

The Source of Our Confidence

The most important thing for us to remember is that with Christ, we can do all things.

Christ is the source of it all; our strength, our abilities and yes our confidence!

being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. ~Philippians 1:6~

It’s not easy juggling everything but with the Grace of God, I can do all things!

  4. You Need To Change What You See About Yourself” I love this! When you see yourself as God sees you, as the person he created you to be instead of comparing yourself to others, it is much easier to be confident. This has taken me until I was in my 40s to actually live out. Thank you for this post. It will benefit many.
