Seeking the Kingdom of God is something we should do with all of our hearts and souls and minds.
This world is not our home, as we are only here on a temporary basis.
We should instead focus or seek our real home; the place where we will spend eternity.
Seeking the kingdom of God means that we are a hundred percent working towards the things of God.
We only seek things that draw us closer to God so that He can draw closer to us.
We are not bothered about money, position, influence, and other earthly things.
Most importantly, we seek for ways to please God and abide in him.
But seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
We will see that seeking God opens us to several opportunities.
You don’t have to worry about attaining wealth or influence or anything of earthly value.
Those things will come naturally. While we seek God, He opens doors that only He can open according to His will.
Of course, God does not want us to be poor or inflicted with illnesses.
He wants us to walk in victory in every area of our lives. That includes everything!
But first we have to seek him and commit our plans and ways fully into his hands.
I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

The Kingdom of God Is Within You
For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit
You might wonder what the biblical standard for seeking the Kingdom of God is.
Where is the Kingdom of God? Do you take a map with you and then go on a long journey to find it?
The Kingdom of God isn’t an earthly location. It is something that exists within us; defined by righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
In order to obtain it you must allow the Holy Spirit to guide your actions and thoughts.
Everything We Need For A Godly Life
For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.
There are other virtues that we should chase while seeking the Kingdom of God.
Instead of chasing after money or influence, we should focus on how we can please God.
Anyone that pleases God displays these characters; godliness, self-control, goodness, mutual affection and love.
Note that these characters cannot be achieved by mere human strength. You have to depend on the Holy Spirit for help and guidance.
Obedience Is The Key
Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my father who is in heaven.
One more thing that you need to note is that the people who seek God’s Kingdom also seek his will.
And most importantly, they do His will. They do what God wants.
It doesn’t matter if we call out to God often. If we cannot live as He wants us to, then we will not enter into the Kingdom of God.
The importance of seeking the Kingdom of God
We Have Been Redeemed
For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
Most times, our own thoughts hold us back from seeking God’s kingdom.
We feel we did too many unforgivable things that make us unfit for heaven.
This is not the case, we have redemption through Christ Jesus.
No matter how bad we think our past may be, God is always ready and willing to forgive us.
His desire is to bring us out of darkness into His light.
We Are Members of God’s Household
Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.
There are so many benefits of seeking God’s Kingdom. There is one at the top of the list.
We become citizens of God’s household; adopted into sonship. We become heirs alongside Jesus. How exciting is that!
Asides from that, there is a mansion with many rooms prepared for us to return to our rightful home.

Our Heavenly Father loves us so much that He made a way for us to have eternal life through His Son Jesus Christ.
How do we enter the Kingdom of God?
We have been given a guide on how we can enter the Kingdom. It’s called the bible.
It’s like a road map that gives us instructions and directions to our destination.
This map doesn’t contain geographical locations like the earthly ones.
Instead, it comes with instructions that can be applied to our lives with the help of the Holy Spirit.
In order for us to take the first steps we need to trust Him and faithfully follow His leading.
